Much Respect

Not only did the Deftones blow away every other performance at ROTR, but they had every band's attention when they were on stage. At least a half dozen bands noted how great their performance was. Most importantly, Three Days Grace lead singer, Adam, stated that the Deftones has been one of their favorite bands and have inspired them. Three Days Grace actually postponed their FYE signing session in order to catch the Deftones live. Now that's some respect!

Zamboni Pentagon

Not only was this my first Deftones show, but it was the first time their music hit home. For about 3 years up til the show, I was a fan but when I saw them live, I fell in love with the music. Always been a fan of rock music, but when I saw them live it was Rock music and Deftones. Aside from an awesome setlist comprising of their best, what Chino said to the audience was just epic.

The ESL Center in Rochester, NY is a small complex with 3 hockey rinks, 1 of which had seats. Not only was everyone crammed in, but it was also hot as hell. Half way through the set, Chino looks out into the crowd and acknowledges everyone for putting up with the heat and also informed us that he was on the ice earlier in the day creating Pentagons with the Zamboni machines. Not only was this funny as hell, but some how cooled everyone else down enough to last the rest of the show.
